Based at 3350 Middletown Rd. in Waldorf, MD, this affordable $3,500 program seamlessly blends flexible online learning through Kajabi with vital, hands-on clinical lab training offered on either Friday afternoons (2 PM–6 PM) or Saturday mornings (9 AM–1 PM). Throughout the curriculum, students master critical competencies—including chairside assisting, dental radiography, infection control, front office administration, and CPR—culminating in a practical externship experience that ensures graduates are fully prepared to support diverse dental teams and elevate patient care.

Denal Radiology Course (DRC) - 

Ready to upgrade your career? The Dental Radiology Course (DRC) at Smile Squad Academy is an intensive, 4-week program explicitly designed to satisfy Maryland's mandatory 24 hours of Board-approved coursework in dental radiation. For a tuition of $750, this hybrid course makes learning incredibly flexible by pairing self-paced online modules on Kajabi and a live virtual class every Tuesday from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM with a hands-on clinical externship completed right in your office under a licensed dentist's direct supervision. To enroll, you just need to be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, and either have 3 months of dental office experience or be tied to an approved Dental Assisting Program. Once you complete your 24 clock hours and pass the program, you'll earn your official Certificate of Completion—the ultimate milestone that qualifies you to sit for the national DANB RHS exam and secure your Maryland Dental Radiation Technologist (DRT) certification to legally take x-rays!
