How long is the Dental Assisting Program?

The Smile Squad Academy Dental Assisting Program is 10 weeks long and combines online coursework with hands-on lab training in Waldorf, Maryland.

When does registration open?

Registration for the next Dental Assisting Program cohort opens on November 15, 2025 at 8:00 AM EST. Seats are limited to 6 students per class.

Where are the lab sessions held?

All hands-on lab sessions are held at our Waldorf, Maryland campus located inside Toothsome Dental at 3350 Middletown Rd, Suite 107A.

Do I receive a certificate after graduation?

Yes. Graduates earn a Certificate in Dental Assisting General Duties recognized in Maryland.

Is financial aid available?

Smile Squad Academy does not currently participate in federal financial aid programs. However, we offer flexible payment plans and limited scholarships for eligible students.

How big are the class sizes?

To ensure individualized instruction and hands-on experience, each class is limited to just 6 students per cohort.

Will my certification transfer to other states?

After completing the program, graduates are eligible to pursue DANB national exams. Certification and licensing requirements vary by state, but DANB credentials are widely recognized across the U.S.

Does Smile Squad Academy help with job placement?

Yes. Our Career Support Team connects students with local dental offices and provides resume coaching, interview prep, and job placement assistance.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, enrollment process, and participation in the Smile Squad Academy Dental Assisting Program.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, enrolling in the program, or interacting with Dani (our AI avatar), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Program Structure

Smile Squad Academy offers a 13-week Hybrid Dental Assisting Program consisting of:

Online coursework
In-person lab sessions
Externship requirements
CPR certification

Program details, schedules, and curriculum may be updated at the Academy’s discretion.

3. Payments & Fees

Tuition, books, supplies, and fees must be paid as outlined in your Enrollment Agreement.
Any promotional discounts are one-time discounts and do not recur.
All financial obligations must be met to graduate.

4. Refund Policy

Our Refund Policy follows the requirements set by:

Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC)
Regulations for private career schools

Refund calculations are detailed in the Enrollment Agreement.

5. Student Conduct

Students must:

Maintain professional behavior
Follow attendance and participation requirements
Comply with clinic/lab safety guidelines
Respect instructors, staff, peers, and externship partners

Failure to comply may result in dismissal.

6. Academic Requirements

To graduate, students must:

Maintain minimum academic standards (70% GPA)
Attend at least 80% of program hours
Complete required labs, exams, and externship hours
Fulfill all financial obligations

7. Use of AI Assistant (“Dani”)

Students may receive program guidance, reminders, and support from Dani, our AI digital avatar.
Dani:

May read onboarding or confirmation scripts
Provides informational responses
Does not provide legal, medical, or binding academic decisions

All official communications come from Smile Squad Academy staff.

8. Intellectual Property

All program content—including videos, course materials, curriculum, and AI-generated content—is the property of Smile Squad Academy and may not be copied or distributed without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

Smile Squad Academy is not liable for:

Employment outcomes
Actions of externship partners
Technical issues with third-party platforms
Personal property lost on premises

Our program does not guarantee job placement.

10. Website Use

By using our website, you agree not to:

Attempt unauthorized access
Upload malicious software
Copy course materials
Misuse contact forms or communication tools

11. Termination

We reserve the right to:

Deny enrollment
Dismiss students for misconduct
Suspend accounts for violations

12. Media Recording and Marketing Use

Smile Squad Academy may record video, audio, and photographs during lab sessions, classroom activities, externship experiences, and other educational events for educational, promotional, or marketing purposes, including use on social media, websites, digital advertising, and printed materials.
By enrolling in the program, you grant the Academy permission to use your likeness, voice, and participation in these recordings without compensation.
If a student prefers not to appear in marketing content, they must submit a written request prior to the start of the program.
