Who can Register
We welcome dental offices across the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia (DMV) region that are interested in mentoring future dental assistants and supporting the local workforce.
General dentistry offices are our preferred partners, but we also invite specialty practices to apply, including:
- Pediatric dental offices
- Orthodontic practices
- Oral surgery practices
- Periodontic offices
- Endodontic offices
- Prosthodontic practices
- Multi-specialty dental groups

Submit registration form
Complete the brief registration form on this page with details about your practice, location, and interest in hosting students.
Smile Squad Academy reviews the submission
Our team reviews your information to confirm alignment with our training standards and student needs.
Receive an MOU for review
Qualified practices are sent a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining expectations, responsibilities, and support.
Eligible students placed after approval
Once your office is approved and the MOU is signed, we can begin coordinating externship placements.
*Please note: Registration as an externship site does not guarantee immediate student placement. Placements depend on student availability, program requirements, and alignment with your practice’s schedule and capacity.
